New York has no shortage of amazing hotels but you can really find which are the best during the holidays. I love when the city gets holiday ready and goes all out because the decor really gets you in the spirit.

This was actually my first time visiting The Peninsula after researching it online. It's like instead of driving around to see the different houses lit up and decorated, you have to walk around and see what businesses are! Ah... that New York City life.

Of course what I loved about The Peninsula was the outside decorations. It was so elegant! Matched with the beautiful architecture of the building it was just so beautiful. The inside was just as spectacular too! They're known for the chocolate snowmen (um YUM). I would have never known if it weren't for the little sign next to them. How cool, right?

As for my outfit, I wanted to wear something that was more casual but just as fun. I've been lusting after this Tibi feather tank for years now and I've seriously been on the hunt for an affordable version. I found this top I'm wearing and was SO excited. So much so that I bought a similar one in black.

The difference between this one I'm wearing and this one (that I'll show on the blog soon) is the above is a little shorter and boxier with a thicker top material and two rows of feathers. The other one (that's a little more expensive) is a slimmer cut, longer and has three rows of feathers.

Paired with my favorite pair of (thick) faux leather leggings and a red blazer and we're in business!
